For placement cells
Every student interviewed.
Not just the ones who ask.
Mentari gives every student an AI mock interview built from their résumé and the roles you are placing for. You get readiness data for the whole batch, before the recruiter arrives — not a survey afterwards. Two institutes are running it now.
Everyone knows the students aren’t ready. Nobody can prove which ones.
A placement cell of three people cannot sit 800 mock interviews. So mocks go to the students who ask for them — usually the ones who need them least. The rest find out they freeze under follow-up questions during the actual interview, in front of the actual recruiter, on the one attempt that counted.
And when a recruiter asks why the conversion rate dropped, the honest answer is a shrug. There’s no record of how anyone actually performed.
- How many mocks can three people run in six weeks?
- Roughly 120. Ten hours a week each, thirty minutes a session.
- How many students are in the batch?
- Usually 400 to 1,200.
- How many get a second one?
- Almost none.
What you actually get
Everything between “I have an interview” and “I got the offer.”
It runs at batch scale.
Four hundred interviews in a week does not cost four hundred interviewer-hours. It costs a CSV upload.
Load a batch by CSV or share a join link. Candidates land on a consent screen before anything is recorded, then interview whenever suits them — no scheduling, no coordination, no interviewer in the room. The reports come back the same way for all of them.
See the whole cohort.
Ready, borderline, at risk — with the trend across attempts. Find the twenty candidates who will cost you the placement rate, before the recruiter does.
One dashboard covers the batch: who has interviewed, how they scored, and who is moving. Sort it, export it, hand it to the department. The candidates see their own report; you see all of them.
Who it’s built for.
Placement cells
Every student interviewed, not just the ones who ask. Readiness data before the recruiter arrives, not after.
Universities
Consistent assessment across departments and campuses. One standard, one report format, one place to see it.
Hiring teams
Structured first-round screening that runs overnight. Your engineers spend their hours on the shortlist instead of building it.
Job seekers
Preparing on your own? Practise against the company you are actually applying to, and find out where you are weak before the round that counts.
Questions
Things people actually ask.
01How long does a rollout take?
A pilot cohort can be running the same week. You send a student list as a CSV or share a join link, we set up the roles you are placing for, and candidates start interviewing. No installation, nothing for your IT team to host.
02Does this replace human interviewers?
No. It replaces the first round nobody has time for. Your team still runs the interviews that matter — they just walk in knowing who is ready and where each candidate is weak, instead of finding out in the room.
03What happens if a student disputes their score?
You open the transcript. Every competency score is tied to the moment that produced it, so a disputed score is a conversation about a specific answer rather than about the system. Candidates can also retake.
04Where does the data live, and who can see it?
Students consent before anything is recorded, and they see their own report. Institutional access is scoped to your organisation — your staff see your cohort and nobody else’s. Data can be exported or deleted on request. Happy to walk your team through the specifics on a call.
05Which roles and formats are supported today?
Software, product, data, consulting and finance roles, across behavioural and technical rounds. If you have a role that is not on that list, bring it to the demo — the round is built from the job description, so the range is wider than a fixed question bank.
06Can students retake interviews?
Yes, and the report tracks the trend across attempts. Improvement between the first and third attempt is usually the most useful signal you get — more than any single score.
07What does it cost?
Pricing is set per cohort and depends on batch size and how many rounds each student gets. We are working it out with our first institutions rather than publishing a number we would have to change. Book a demo and we will give you a straight figure for your batch.
08What do you need from us to start?
A student list, the roles you are placing for, and one person on your side to point at the job descriptions. That is genuinely it.
