Voice or text

Both produce the same research and the same scorecard. Voice is a real conversation — it talks back, interrupts when you drift and asks for the number. Text is a chat with an interviewer who follows up on what you write; start there if you are on a phone or somewhere noisy.

01What is an AI mock interview?

An AI mock interview is a practice interview where software plays the interviewer: it asks questions, listens to or reads your answers, and gives feedback. On Mentari the interviewer is conversational — it plans the round from your résumé, the job description and research on the company, asks follow-ups based on what you just said, and scores you against your own transcript.

02Is the AI mock interview free?

Your first interview is free and needs no card. After that, interviews are sold in one-time packs starting at ₹999 for one interview — there is no subscription and nothing renews. The résumé review is free as many times as you like.

03How is this different from practising with ChatGPT?

A general chatbot follows your lead and rarely disagrees with you. Mentari runs a timed interview to a plan you do not see, interrupts or pushes back when an answer is vague, and then scores six competencies with verbatim quotes from your transcript. You cannot steer it into telling you what you want to hear.

04Does it work for freshers with no experience?

Yes. It reads your résumé and adapts: for freshers it builds the round from projects, internships, academics and positions of responsibility.

05Can I practise for a specific company in India?

Yes. Name the company and the role. Mentari researches how that company interviews for that role — the rounds, their order, what they focus on — and builds your round from what it finds.

06Do I need a job description?

No. With a job description the round is sharper, but with only a role title and a company Mentari works out what the role involves.
